Frequently Asked Questions

What sort of photography do you do?

I am primarily a headshot, portrait, and event photographer. In terms of headshots, I specialize in headshots for actors, corporate and executive headshots, and do the occasional author photo. My event work, on the other hand, consists of corporate event photography (activations, fireside chats, activations, experientials, conferences, and corporate retreats/mixers/holiday parties) and private functions (birthday parties, anniversaries, dinners, rehearsals, and mitzvahs).

Do you have a studio?

I have a 1000 square foot, stand-alone studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that is equipped with extensive lighting equipment and large windows.

What are your rates like?

For event work, I typically charge $200/hr for private events, and $250 and up for corporate events and conferences. For headshots, my pricing is $200 for a ten minute in-studio shot for linkedin, or at $295 and up for a general session.

What sort of equipment do you use?

For event work I employ two full frame Nikon cameras, them being the D850 and the Z7. For lenses, I’ll have a Nikkor 24-70 2.8 on one camera and a Nikkor 70-200 2.8 on the other. I also bring a 50mm Sigma ART lens and an 85mm Sigma art lens for super low light situations (and because they’re just amazingly sharp).

For headshots, I have a Fuji GFX 100s Medium Format Camera with a 110mm macro lens on it. All of my lighting is Profoto.

What is image delivery like?

For event work, I’ll typically send over the images in two separate formats. The first format is a Dropbox that you can use to go ahead and download the images, full-size and unwatermarked, while the second format is a private album that you can share with guests, attendees, and anyone else you would like.

How do I book you?

Simply send me a heads up via email and I’ll get back to you within an hour or two. I’m extremely easy to work with and as well very friendly, and so you shouldn’t hesitate to reach out if interested.

Do you have any reviews I can look at?

Of course. Here are my reviews

What separates you from other photographers?

My taste, my style, my sense of direction, and my ability to marry all of that to an extremely proficient technical sense places me well away from most of the photographers in my field. My knowledge in lighting as well comes from having a standalone studio and operating for over a decade in the NYC market and it helped me get published most recently in the November issue of Maxim Magazine.

Do you do any other types of photography?

I work extensively as a fashion photographer.

Anything else I should know?

I’ve never had a photography job I didn’t like. I’m not a huge fan of packing equipment or prepping for shoots, but once I’m there, I’m always engaged and I always enjoy myself.

I occasionally collaborate with other like-minded individuals and most recently worked with talented videographer, Adrian Harrison, of Sydney Australia.
